Hey, I pretty much noticed that many of my friends updated their blogs on Monday....like it was their home assignment. Anyway, there's been some speculation around that the examination results are going to be out on 9th February. I thought that it was pretty early. I think I'll just wait and confirm it with the news.(TV)
Nothing major going on at the moment except that I think some stuff in my life are going away from the road I want it to take. Too bad I can't do much to help it. Even the person whom I want to read this probably won't know who it's referring to.

Yesterday I woke up at 10.30am to a call from Tre.
Then gave Ariff a call and reminded him of the outing.
Too bad he had a reason not to follow, too tired. GREAT.
Me and Tre went ahead to Harbourfront and I visited Vivocity for the 1st time.
Seriously there's nothing great about that place.
I'd really hate it if I was there with a girl, there's so many shops she'd probably take forever to finish her 'therapy'.
Me and Tre only hung out at the toy and electrical sections.
Stayed away from pretty much many clothing and apparel store.
I realized that, that place actually had a romantic touch to it...that is the outdoor scene that forecast the Singapore Sea.
Pretty cool place to hang out with you know.....hahah
On the way to Keppel Bay Tower nearby, I saw a little gathering and went out to check it out... It was actually a 'Youth Rock' event organized by the 'ITE College West' I believe. I felt 'just in time' as there was a band doing a soundcheck...their performance I would say 'awesome' They played one Malay song and an English song I knew titled 'Chasing Cars'....Don't bother asking about the other. Honestly their soundcheck was like 15mins and performance only like 10mins. Their covers weren't even complete...it's like they played only the intro then chorus then outro. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?
After their performance was a percussions group all dressed in bright Orange...someone's fav colour..hah! Their performance I thought was all a repetition... Maybe it's just me? Went over to Keppel Bay and redeemed the 1GB SD card. Took a few pictures of the Cable Cars. Did a little window shopping after that, went to Toy'sR'Us and saw FREEDOM...Lifesize, I think. Anyways, I'll just leave you guys with the photos to enjoy....bye.
Well, this few days has been quite a rough spot for me... That conman I referred to earlier was taught a lesson, an embarrassing one... We topped up few more bucks and exchanged for a Canon Ixus 850IS. Really good camera if you ask me...photo quality is great!
Anyway...Some people I realized have really changed...hah! - doesn't this sound like Ariff's post:) So anyway...I'm currently being trained to handle Tiger Airways bookings...the training is tedious...VERY! I won't exactly say that I hate it entirely...made new friends... 5 of us were chosen for training and we're called the power rangers gang...2 guys, 3 girls tho:) Got to know a girl from training and went to Lunch with her at a very familiar place... God,she lived in Woodlands and working in Tampines...and she felt quite lost during our after-lunch walk! I was freaking laughing all the way...HAHAHAH!
Btw...I'm the band's jam session organizer at the moment and none of them except Ariff's cooperating.Those asses are trying to give me such a hard time...hah!So if any one of you asses are reading this, tell me the dates you're free pls.Thks in advance.Anyway....up there's a picture of me trying out my new camera's prowess!Btw, I'm starting to miss a group called 'Easy Company'.Finally someone's inviting me to a chalet at the right time...when there's money!
Was actually returning home from work at abt 3.30am...
Went to the band's previous meeting place where my bike was parked...
Suddenly saw a dog, then another....the 1st one only seemed interested in the food on the floor...
The other looked at me and bark..I was like wtf?
Then it came towards me....I was like....ok...
Then it came nearer like only 3 metres...I rushed and hid behind a tall bush and quickly turned ran across the road....Then the dog followed over....shit!

Ran all the way to the stadium and made a police report using a public phone...
All the way home I couldn't stop looking back...
The fear was still fresh...I had to walk all the way home in the rain...damn!
So anyway...the next day I followed my parents to make my new glasses at the Fortune Centre...near Sim Lim...my mom's friend owns the shop there...
After a few tests. I found out I couldn't use contacts as my 'astig' was too high...what a letdown..
Had a meal at a nearby restaurant which btw looks like a hawker centre...tried Lamb chop for the 1st time...
Anyway, we decided to Sim Lim since it was nearby...
At this shop on Lvl 2...we looked at the latest sony cybershot, which was going for $799 which the guy offered at $480...OMG!
While about to pay for the thing, he explained that the colours the camera produced was inferior...so he took out an 'Olympus brand' camera....and on TV, the results were much better as compared to Sony's...
So he went on the blablabla abt the product...
End price we paid $628 for the Olympus cam, a 1 gig card, spare battery and a few items he "threw in" which were the tripod and card reader.
He even said he'll "absorb" the 5% GST.
Somehow though, I felt strange...
Rushed home on a taxi with the whole family and I straight away went to work...that was already abt 9pm.
So here I am at 5.08am the next morning, feeling damn angry that the camera's R.R.P was in fact only $399...and it comes free with a 512 mb card.
Card reader he mentioned was $15 which he "threw in"...
Mini tripod dunno how much...which he 'threw in'
Spare battery we paid $50..
Upgrade the 512mb to 1 Gig card costs $38...
So do a little math I learnt in school, the total certainly could NOT have exceeded $500!
I feel cheated, angry seriously wanna hit that 'talk smart' asshole who sold it!
Wonder how my parents will react to that when I tell them later...anyway..
The model is FE-190, brand is Olympus...(No. 2 in that pic btw!)
Plan to go to shop and ask them return the spare change!
If not successful, report to simlim cos they have this policy, not to sell over R.R.P..and this way over!
If still nothing can be done...I'll report to Case...and if still nothing I'll call the New Paper Team!
What a shame a tech 'geek' like me didn't notice that he was not an honest guy..
He was nice though, so I'll get my parents to approach him nicely.

I won't rest till I get my mother's purchase justified...

Not that I hate black, both complement themselves very well.... Got my 1st pay, blew it all on a guitar set, mp3s, speaker systems and also a soundblaster card, money I owed some people, FOOD! (If anyone was wondering, CPF is 20% of your pay)
Btw, Was watching the video 'Face Down' by 'The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus'. Had to be honest, the name irked me at 1st, but it has easily became my fav song, with its catchy chorus. (Just Like Memory)
Tried imitating the move the guitarist did at the 1.51 min, but ended up busting my guitar's cable. (Too Short Apparently) Damn, it's new! Wasn't supposed to happen, or was it?
Also sent my NEW subwoofer I bought from "Creative" for repair, even though it's freaking new! I'd give those asses 0 for quality control, always had a bad experience with their products. So far only the soundblaster card I bought managed to stay home, the rest had to go for a trip back to the headquarters for repair...
Btw, the band is sucking up right now.... I mean the way we played last week...again this word comes to mind, Practise. This is to all of us! Not that it has to specifically hint to someone.
Had acousticity with 2 band members last Saturday, and i was 'productive' alright. Too bad Farhan S couldn't make it
Collecting my subwoofer later in the day, those asses are providing a product replacement. Better be a productive trip.
I'm still waiting to bump into her on the streets again. One thing on my mind, getting her.
